September 29, 2024, Osasuna welcomed Barcelona, who had won seven consecutive games, at home. Due to the increasing number of injuries and the tight schedule, Barcelona coach Flick chose to make a major rotation of the lineup, and many La Masia youth players got a chance to play. It's a pity that such a young team is still too immature. Barcelona, who fell behind 0-2 at halftime, eventually lost to their opponents 2:4, and their seven-game winning streak came to an end.

Hansi Flick, besides being a nice guy, has his stuff down pat. You only have to look at the eleven he put out at El Sadar. It is true that the team suffers from a host of injuries and with such a busy schedule rotations are obligatory. But seeing that eleven from Pamplona with all the culerada gave him the feeling that the German had gone too far. It was a team of 'children' with Cubarsí, Sergi Domínguez, Gerard Martín, Pablo Torre, Pau Víctor...

And so it was. The play went wrong for Flick. His team was a shadow of what had been seen up to that point. It is true that they had the ball, the possession figures are eloquent, exceeding 70%, but when it comes to creating danger, nothing at all. Lots of touch in the midfield, but they lacked the spark in one-on-one situations to create superiority. Neither Ferran nor Pau Víctor managed to get out wide in the first half. Only Koundé tried to penetrate down the right, but also without danger.

Osasuna, on the other hand, knew exactly what they were playing for. Moreno set up a flawless defence that suffocated Barcelona and did not let them get close to Sergio Herrera. They did not suffer at all and their counterattacks exposed a Barça defence full of youngsters.

And with the game like this, Bryan Zaragoza appeared, as happened almost a year ago when he was playing for Granada. After 18 minutes he made a millimetre-perfect pass to Budimir so that he could score with a header and ten minutes later he was alone against Iñaki Peña, after an excellent pass from Ibáñez, to finish with class the second goal. A goal that was protested by the Blaugranas, who understood that there was a foul on Pau Víctor.

A 2-0 that reflected all the deficiencies of the Blaugranas. However, Flick did not react at half-time and did not make any changes. But Barça was different. Now they attacked with judgment and began to create danger, always breaking down the right wing where they found space. And here they got the bit of luck they needed. Sergio Herrera gave away a ball that Pau Victor took advantage of to shoot from far away and that the goalkeeper was unable to stop in a clear blunder.

Flick then made a move and gave the team some wood with the entrance of Raphinha and Lamine. Barça went forward in search of the game. These were the best moments for the Blaugrana with an excellent chance from Ferran that Sergio Herrera thwarted. However, Osasuna never gave up on the game and continued to launch counterattacks with enormous danger. Above all one that Areso brought down the right wing and gave a deadly pass to Budimir who Sergi Domínguez made a penalty that the forward himself converted.

And that was the end of the game. The goal hurt a Barcelona that was no longer the same. Brotones increased the lead and then Lamine reduced the deficit, but his goal only served to improve the score. Barça paid for putting out a team of circumstances and a terrible first half.
