England have announced that three players have been ruled out of the upcoming Nations League matches due to injury. Kobbie Mainoo, Ezri Konsa and Morgan Gibbs-White will no longer be part of the squad, and coach Lee Carsley has decided not to call up replacements.
The team has had a strong start to the season under Carsley's leadership, with two 2-0 victories against Ireland and Finland last month. Unfortunately, the Three Lions have now suffered injuries in the squad ahead of their Nations League clashes against Greece and away to Finland.
The Three Lions have just announced that Mainoo, Konsa and Gibbs-White have all pulled out of the squad for the upcoming games because of injuries they picked up while playing for their clubs over the weekend. The Manchester United youngster was taken off in the last few minutes of the Red Devils' goalless draw against Aston Villa, while Konsa picked up a hamstring injury earlier in the game. Gibbs-White picked up a knock against Chelsea while blocking a shot.
England have also said that Carsley is happy with the squad as it is and won't be calling up any replacements for the injured trio. Harry Kane was also a bit of a doubt for the upcoming clashes, but he's now been declared fit and will be able to participate in the matches.
The Three Lions will now prepare with a 22-man squad for the Nations League clashes against Greece on 10 October and Finland on 13 October.
