Match preview

Central African Republic began their qualifying campaign with a 3-1 win over Lesotho on 5 September, a game in which they created three good chances and conceded one.

However, they then lost 2-0 to Gabon on 10 September, before being comprehensively beaten by Morocco in a game in which they conceded four first-half goals.

The defeat means that Raoul Savoy's side have conceded 12 goals and scored four in their last four games and have now lost four of their last five qualifiers.

Savoy's side have lost three of their last four matches, although they did win the previous three by a combined score of 11-0.

Central African Republic have a strong home record, having won their last four games at the Stade d'Honneur d'Oujdain and six of their last seven at home in all competitions.

The visitors come into the game having beaten Gabon 4-1 in their first qualifier of the campaign on 6 September and Lesotho 1-0 on 9 September.

Morocco have an incredible qualifying record, having won 13, drawn four and lost just one of their last 18 AFCON qualifiers.

Manager Walid Regragui also has a strong record as head coach of the national team, with the Atlas Lions boss having won 19, drawn seven and lost seven of his 33 matches in charge.

Despite his largely positive record, Regragui has been criticised by some for struggling tactically against deep blocks.

However, the Atlas Lions have won their last five games, scoring 18 goals and conceding just twice.

Morocco have also won their last four away games, keeping four clean sheets and scoring 10 goals.
