After sustaining a shoulder injury in a match ahead of the international break, Folarin Balogun is now set to be sidelined until December.

USMNT and Monaco forward Folarin Balogun is reportedly set to be sidelined for two months, missing the November Concacaf Nations League quarterfinals as a result.

In a 2-1 victory over Rennes on Oct. 5, Balogun was in fine form, scoring the eventual game-winner just 22 minutes into the clash. However, late in the second half, he was removed from the pitch with a shoulder injury after a collision with Rennes' Leo Ostigard.

L'EQUIPE now reports that the extent of that shoulder injury will sideline him into December.

Balogun was helped off the pitch by two Monaco training staff, but was in visible pain as he departed the match. Shortly thereafter, he was ruled out of the October camp with the U.S. and Mauricio Pochettino's debut. Now, the nature of it has been revealed to be a dislocation of the glenohumeral joint in his left shoulder.

The timing arrives at an unlucky moment for the 23-year-old, who has scored in three-straight Ligue 1 matches for the French club.

He will miss at least eight matches across all competitions through November and potentially more into December, as he now embarks on a road to recovery.

AS Monaco are atop the Ligue 1 standings through the October international break, sitting at 19 total points. In six league matches this season, Balogun has three goals for Les Rouge et Blanc.

He will now work with the French side to prepare a recovery regimen, as he looks to return to the pitch in a timely and healthy manner. His next appearance for the USMNT will not be until the flip of the calendar year either, now.
