The Rams have been getting calls about Cooper Kupp. With a 1-4 record, the Rams are off to their worst start under coach Sean McVay. If they lose on Sunday against the Raiders, the Rams will have their worst six-game record since 2011, when they started 0-6 and ended up with a 2-14 record.

If the losses keep coming, there's a chance the Rams will move on from Super Bowl LVI MVP Cooper Kupp.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the calls have already started coming in, following the recent frenzy that resulted in the Raiders trading Davante Adams and the Browns sending Amari Cooper to the Bills.

Kupp has only played in two games this season. In Week 1, he had 14 catches for 110 yards in a loss to the Lions in overtime. He hurt his ankle in a Week 2 loss to the Cardinals. He hasn't played since then.

He missed out on reaching 1,000 receiving yards in both 2022 and 2023 due to injuries. Kupp had his best year in 2021, catching 145 passes, gaining 1,947 yards, and scoring 16 touchdowns.

If the Rams want to start building for the future, now is the time to do it. This is especially true given the presence of Puka Nacua and other talented young receivers on the roster.

The bigger question for the Rams is whether it's time to explore trading the guy who throws the ball to Kupp. If quarterback Matthew Stafford is in his final season with the Rams (and it's looking that way), he might be interested in playing for a contender.

With three weekends of football left before the trade deadline, it only takes one injury to a starter for a potential playoff team to create a market for Stafford. As for Kupp, there are enough teams interested in upgrading to create interest in him.

Ultimately, it depends on whether the Rams are ready to move on. Ultimately, it all depends on how the Rams fare in their upcoming games against the Raiders, Vikings, and Seahawks.

Kupp is signed through 2026. He's set to make $20 million in 2025, with $5 million of that being fully guaranteed. Plus, he's got $19.85 million in salary and bonuses coming up in 2026.

Given the current market for receivers, that's a pretty good deal. The big question is whether the 31-year-old Kupp can make a big impact with a new team, especially if he has to adjust on the fly to a new city, new coach, new quarterback, and basically a whole new environment.
