Malik Tillman and PSV pulled off a surprising away draw against PSG in the UCL Tuesday
A 34th minute go-ahead goal from Dutch international Noa Lang led PSV to a 1-1 draw with PSG in UEFA Champions League action Tuesday. PSG defender Achraf Hakimi turned in the equalizing effort.
U.S. men's national team attacker Malik Tillman logged 90 minutes for PSV, while American defender Richy Ledezma was an 83rd minute substitute. USMNT forward Ricardo Pepi was an unused substitute.
Tillman's big moment came in the fifth minute of stoppage-time, when he made a crucial goal-line clearance to deny PSG a winning goal late in the match.
Overall the 22-year-old midfielder had a great showing, completing 85 percent of his 40 pass attempts while creating one big scoring chance.
In Ledezma's brief stint, the 24-year-old helped lock down the defense, while also earning a yellow card caution in stoppage-time for time wasting.
With the result, PSV sit on two points through three matches, this being their second-straight 1-1 draw; the other came on Oct. 1 with a stalemate against Sporting CP.
PSV are unbeaten to start the Eredivisie season, with 27 points through nine matches. In 2023-24, they ended their league campaign without a loss, setting a league record while being named champions.
The Dutch side return to Eredivisie action this weekend against PEC Zwolle. Sitting atop the league table, they'll look to extend their lead.
