Galatasaray vs Besiktas
Match preview
Galatasaray had a strong showing last weekend against Antalyaspor, creating six significant scoring opportunities and exceeding two xG, while their opponents only managed one big chance and just over 0.3 xG.
On Monday, the hosts also secured a 4-3 victory against Elfsborg on Wednesday in the Europa League. They had taken a 3-0 lead by the 44th minute but nearly lost their advantage to the Swedish side, who managed to score twice by the 65th minute.
The result leaves Cim Bom in seventh place in the Europa League table with seven points from three matches. Manager Okan Buruk will be confident that he can lead his side to the round of 16 of a European competition for just the second time since 2013-14.
Buruk's team is on a roll. They've won eight and drawn two of their last 10 matches, scoring 32 times and conceding just 12 times in that period.
Cim Bom have also won 26 games, drawn one, and lost just one of their last 28 league matches. They've also won nine of their last 10 games in the top flight.
Galatasaray's home record could be better. They've only won four of their last six league games at RAMS Park, but they've won 25 of their last 27 Super Lig fixtures at home.
As for Besiktas, they're in good shape as well. They've won six of their last eight league matches, scoring 17 goals and conceding five in that time.
The Black Eagles played a great game and deserved to win against Konyaspor. They had lots of chances to score, but manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst will still be concerned that his team faced 14 shots, nine of which were from inside the penalty area.
The visitors beat Lyon 1-0 in the Europa League on Thursday, keeping a clean sheet despite facing a total of 30 shots and conceding six big chances, while only creating three big chances of their own.
In their last six games, van Bronckhorst's side has won three, drawn one, and lost two. Interestingly, both of the losses were in the Europa League, not the Turkish top flight.
Besiktas's performance on the road has been a bit up and down. They've won two, drawn three, and lost one of their last six away matches. They've also only won two of their last nine away games in the Super Lig.

Team News
Ismail Jakobs, who plays left-back, won't be playing for the hosts on Monday because of a knee injury he got on October 21. He's not scheduled to return until early next month.
Galatasaray usually plays with a back four, so we'll probably see Kaan Ayhan, Davinson Sanchez, Abdulkerim Bardakci, and Berkan Kutlu in defense.
Buruk could also name Lucas Torreira and Gabriel Sara in a double pivot, while Dries Mertens may start in an attacking role behind striker Victor Osimhen.
The visitors will be without center-back Necip Uysal until mid-November and could be without Gabriel Paulista, who is a doubt for Monday's match.
Forward Milot Rashica is also out, so Van Bronckhorst might put Rafa Silva, Joao Mario, and Ernest Muci up front behind striker Ciro Immobile.
In other news, Gedson Fernandes and Cher Ndour might play in midfield for Besiktas with center backs Felix Uduokhai and Emirhan Topcu.
Possible starting lineups
Galatasaray possible starting lineup:
Muslera; Ayhan, Sanchez, Bardakci, Kutlu; Torreira, Sara; Yilmaz, Mertens, Akgun; Osimhen
Besiktas possible starting lineup:
Destanoglu; Svensson, Uduokhai, Topcu, Masuaku; Ndour, Fernandes; Silva, Mario, Muci; Immobile
