Brighton could welcome a number of first-team players back for Saturday's trip to Anfield, but Fabian Hurzeler will still be without three first-team players.

Adam Webster and Solly March will both miss the game against Liverpool, as will former Reds star James Milner. Webster and March are nursing thigh injuries, while March is still on the comeback trail after sustaining a serious knee injury in October of last year.

Hurzeler does, however, expect to have left-back Ferdi Kadioglu available after the left-back was brought off at half-time of Wednesday's Carabao Cup meeting between the two sides. Hurzeler said: "I think with Ferdi, it's not that bad. Hopefully, he will be an option for Saturday."

Hurzeler confirmed that Joao Pedro and Matt O'Riley are both back in training, while Yankuba Minteh and Lewis Dunk will face late fitness tests. Pedro has only managed 19 minutes of action since August so is unlikely to start, while O'Riley has been out since August, managing just one substitute appearance for his new club since joining from Celtic.

"We have to see how Lewis [Dunk] is today [Thursday]," Hurzeler said. "We have to see also Matt O'Riley - he's back in training - and when he will be potentially ready to be in the squad. Also Joao Pedro will be back in training. Some players will be back on the pitch. We have to see now how Joao’s coming back after a long injury to see if he will be an option, but he's back in training."

Asked whether Brighton will change its approach against Liverpool after suffering a 3-2 defeat in midweek, Hurzeler said: "In general we want to keep the same style, but at some point you have to make adjustments and small adaptations when you play.

"Against Newcastle United, where you know it's an intense game, where they go man for man and you can't play the same game like you play at home against Wolverhampton, for example.

"So you always need to make small adjustments, but in general we try to focus on our style of play. We try to be dominant in possession and we will do this away and at home. You will see it on Saturday.

"When you play at home and you have this amount of fans behind you it pushes you and that's why you can't say that it will be the same game, it will be a different game with a different atmosphere at Anfield on Saturday."
