Round 11 of the South American World Cup qualifying round was held, with 8th place Venezuela national team playing against 4th place Brazil national team.
Brazil started with Savinho, Vinicius Junior, and Jafinha. In the 43rd minute of the match, No. 10 Hafinha, who is in great form for Barcelona, hit the free kick against the post and screwed it in directly, giving Brazil the lead.
However, Venezuela caught up early in the second half. 21-year-old Telasco Segovia scored his first international goal to equalize the score. In the 62nd minute, Brazil had a chance for a penalty kick, but Vinicius' kick was saved by the goalkeeper, and Brazil missed the chance to take the lead.
Although Venezuela had a player sent off in the final stages, Brazil lacked a decisive factor and the game ended in a draw. Brazil has lost three consecutive wins in the South American qualifiers.
