Spain booked their place in the next round of the UEFA Nations League with a 2-1 win over Denmark, finishing top of Group A4. The European champions got off to a flying start in Copenhagen with a goal from Mikel Oyarzabal, and former Newcastle United striker Ayoze Pérez made it 2-0 in the second half. Gustav Isaksson managed to pull one back towards the end of the match, but it was too late.

Before the game, both teams observed a moment of silence for those affected by the floods in Spain. The floods have had a serious impact on the people of Valencia, with the worst flooding in decades.

Once the ceremony was over, the game got underway. After a somewhat tense start, Spain gradually gained the upper hand.

In the 15th minute, Oyarzabal made the most of some poor defending with a great shot. They came close to conceding a goal before that, but Ayoze's shot hit the woodwork. Dani Olmo and Perez had some great chances to extend the lead before the break, but they didn't quite make it.

Olmo and Perez joined forces again to make it 2-0 in the second half, with Olmo's clever through ball through the Danish defence and Ayoze scoring from a low position. Pérez had a chance to put the game out of reach in the 66th minute, but his shot lacked the power to find the back of the net.

Substitute Isaksson gave the Danes hope, putting Spain under pressure from the outset, but his shot hit the post and bounced out. However, he managed to catch Fabian's careless back pass and score in front of the opposition goalkeeper.

There weren't any more chances for either side after Morata and Anderson's clash, which resulted in both teams receiving yellow cards late in the game. The game was almost over. Spain won the game pretty convincingly and are now ready to take on their final Nations League group match.

Denmark still has some work to do to make sure they're in the Nations League quarter-finals. If Switzerland and Serbia draw their other group game, the Danes will be celebrating. But it'll be a shame for them to have their 29-month unbeaten home run ended.
