Match preview
Getafe have a record of one win, seven draws and five losses from their 13 La Liga matches this season, with a total of 10 points, which puts them in 17th place in the division, tied with 18th-placed Espanyol.
It's been a tough season for the capital side when it comes to goals. They've only found the back of the net on eight occasions, which is the joint-worst attacking record in Spain's top flight alongside Valencia.
On the other hand, Jose Bordalas's team has been pretty solid on the defensive side of things, conceding just 11 times. The only teams with a stronger record during the 2024-25 campaign are Atlético Madrid (seven), Mallorca (10) and Real Sociedad (10).
Getafe had a rough start to the month, losing back-to-back matches to Celta Vigo and Girona. Their only league win so far was a 2-0 victory at home against Alavés on the 28th of September.
The Deep Blue Ones haven't won any of their last five La Liga games against Real Valladolid. They lost three times, but their last meeting ended in a goalless draw in June 2023.
Meanwhile, Real Valladolid are coming out of the November international break after a 1-1 draw with Athletic Bilbao. Raul Moro put the White and Violets ahead in the 79th minute, but Gorka Guruzeta scored a last-gasp leveller for the Lions.
Paulo Pezzolano's team came close to a big win, but it was still a good result. They're now on nine points from 13 games this season, which puts them in 19th place in the table.
Valladolid have the worst defensive record in the division this season, conceding 25 times, but as we said, they're up against the joint-worst attacking team in La Liga this season.
Pezzolano's team finished second in the Segunda División last season, which secured their return to the top flight. They're now aiming to make it two consecutive campaigns at this level for the first time since 2021.
Real Valladolid have had the upper hand in their recent meetings with Getafe. They've won three of their last four matches in Spain's top flight, and they've only lost once to the capital team in La Liga since November 2012.

Team News
Getafe's squad will be strengthened by the return of Juan Berrocal following a suspension, but Djene Dakonam and Borja Mayoral both have late fitness tests to pass before they can play for the capital side.
Mayoral missed the end of last season with a bad knee injury and has had more fitness issues this term. The striker hasn't played since October, so he's still a big doubt for this match.
The Deep Blue Ones haven't reported any new fitness issues ahead of this game, but there's likely to be at least one change in the final third of the field, with Alex Sola potentially featuring down the right.
Real Valladolid will be without Kenedy due to a muscular problem, but otherwise have a strong squad for their match against Getafe.
Given how they played and the result against Athletic last time, it wouldn't be a surprise to see the same XI take to the field here, including another start for Moro down the right.
It looks like Luis Pérez and Lucas Rosa will keep their spots at full-back for Real Valladolid. Mamadou Sylla, who's got two league goals to his name this season, is set to lead the line for the White and Violets.
Possible starting lineup
Getafe possible starting lineup:
