When the Los Angeles Chargers face the Baltimore Ravens on Monday night, it will pit two of the best teams in the AFC against one another. But the predominant storyline before, during and after the game will be focused on Jim and John Harbaugh coaching against each other.

The "Harbaugh Bowl" is what it is being referred to as and this will be the third time the brothers' teams have met in the NFL. It will be the first in over a decade.

Jim Harbaugh vs. John Harbaugh history

Harbaugh Bowl I: November 24, 2011

Ravens 16, 49ers 6

This game took place on Thanksgiving Day in 2011 and it was the primetime matchup on the slate for that day. The Ravens used a strong defensive effort to shut down Jim's 49ers. Terrell Suggs had three of the Ravens' nice sacks in the game.

On offense, it was a battle of field goals as Billy Cundiff kicked three for the Ravens and David Akers kicked two for the 49ers. An 8-yard touchdown pass from Joe Flacco to Dennis Pitta on the first play of the fourth quarter was enough to give the Ravens the win.

Harbaugh Bowl II: February 3, 2013

Ravens 34, 49ers 31

This was Super Bowl XLVII and it ended up being one of the most competitive Super Bowls ever played. It will always be remembered for the brothers coaching opposite teams, but the power going out in the Superdome in New Orleans is always going to be talked about.

The Ravens were up 28-6 and it looked like they were going to cruise to their second Super Bowl trophy. Then the lights went out in the stadium and after a considerable delay, it seemed like a completely different game.

The Niners exploded with 17 unanswered points to draw within 28-23 and they fought the Ravens to the final horn. In the end, the Ravens escaped with the victory, but it was a tremendous game that could have gone either way.

Jim has waited nearly 12 years for another chance to play his brother. He's won a national championship in college football since then and now, he has one of the NFL's hottest teams ready to make a statement on Monday night.
