Bayern Munich's Michael Olise netted a second-half double as they came back from conceding an early goal to win 5-1 against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Tuesday to earn their first away victory in this season's competition.
The Bundesliga giant has just secured its third successive win, moving up to eighth place in the automatic qualification spots on 12 points. Meanwhile, Shakhtar is currently placed 27th with four points, just three points off the playoffs.
Bayern had lost both of their previous away games in the competition, and they fell behind early on when Oleksandr Zubkov's through ball found Kevin, who cut inside Kim Min-Jae before sending his shot into the far corner.
The German side were back on level terms just six minutes later. Olise lost possession in the area, but the ball fell kindly to his teammate Konrad Laimer, who took a touch to control it and then smashed his effort into the roof of the net.
Shakhtar had a chance to go back in front, but Georgiy Sudakov missed when he was set up by a great pass from Kevin, who was almost at the penalty spot.
Bayern moved down the other end, with Jamal Musiala taking the ball into the box and laying a pass off to Thomas Müller, who finished with a simple, slotted shot just before half-time.
Shakhtar applied pressure to Bayern at the start of the second half but couldn't find a second goal before the visitors secured the win.
Bayern thought they had increased their lead when Musiala volleyed home from a corner, but the goal was disallowed for a foul on the keeper. However, a few minutes later the referee indicated that a penalty should be awarded for a foul by Alaa Ghram on substitute Sacha Boey.
Olise took the penalty in the 70th minute, and although keeper Dmytro Riznyk went the right way, the ball was powered into the top corner, putting Bayern well and truly in the driving seat.
Musiala got the goal he deserved for an excellent performance three minutes from time. He collected a loose ball in the box and fired it past Riznyk.
Olise showed his magic touch in added time, weaving his way through the Shakhtar defence and coolly finding the bottom corner with his shot.
