High school student put Burgstaller down: “Didn’t know him”

The lawyer for the strongly suspected Lower Austrian who shot down Rapid player Guido Burgstaller near Heldenplatz on Saturday at 6 a.m. speaks out in the Kurier.
The 23-year-old from Lower Austria, who, among other things, caused a fracture to the base of Guido Burgstaller's skull, is the son of an ardent Rapid fan, but did not know the former Hütteldorfer captain. "It was all the worse for him to find out that it was Mr. Burgstaller," Klaus Ainedter, the suspect's lawyer, was quoted as saying by the Kurier. “He would like to sincerely apologize for this incomprehensible and, above all, unnecessary act,” said Ainedter.
The consequences of the fall on the back of the head were probably so severe because Burgstaller had his hands in his trouser pockets and was therefore unable to support himself at all.
The suspect - who speaks of a "short-circuit reaction" - wants to repair the material damage as quickly as possible and therefore hopes to be able to remain in his employment. He would like to get his high school diploma in January and the Lower Austrian is also willing to take advantage of probation assistance and complete aggression training.
